Okay, I'll admit, I just found out approximately 5 seconds ago that March is officially Women's History Month. But hey! At least I found out while it is still March.
Women's history, to be honest, is something that is not usually thought of in the battle of civil rights. Martin Luther King is famous for his activism in racial equality, but Susan B. Anthony and many other inspiring women often go overlooked. But women's rights are important. About 50% of all humans are female, but yet so many misogynist comments are made daily about a woman's intelligence, looks, or sexuality. The same are not said about men, or if they are, are not found to be degrading. If you discriminate against someone because of their race, it becomes offensive and "taboo". So why is this not the same when someone gets discriminated against for their gender? Nobody can control what race they are, just like how people cannot control which gender they were born as.
Yes, women and men are biologically different (obviously), but both are humans, and they both deserve respect and rights that everyone is entitled to have, and the right to not be confined by gender stereotypes and double-standards. Qualities, whether they be bravery and strength or calmness and sympathy should not be "divided" to either men or women specifically.
Everyone, no matter if you are a man or woman, should deserve equal respect. But think about much women are discriminated today, and of the harassment they have to face daily. Is this fair? What can you do to change it? And finally, remind everyone the importance of women's history and the women's rights movement.
Have a wonderful Women's History Month!

Japan Tsunami and Earthquake Relief
I think most of you have already heard about the 8.9 earthquake and disastrous tsunami in Japan already. It was one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded, and many people have been affected by it. To donate and give aid, visit these organizations:

Bleaching and Writing and Unimaginable Things
Okay, going through a mini-crisis here with graduation. See, I bought this cheap black dress for graduation and decided it needed more jazz. Eventually, I decided to use Rit's Color Remover to bleach the top part lighter, but guess what? It's now an odd and rather unappealing shade of burnt sienna. Well. Apparently, the dress, which was on clearance, is now out of stock. Great. And I still need to return my shoes that are too high to walk in.
Posting, again, will need to get back on track after tests and family issues and school and whatnot. I've been writing a bit lately, and I'm just getting started on a lot of projects.
Now I just to wait for the dye.
Sorry for the quick post, and (not literally)see you soon!

This is what I will do for graduation if I can't get a new dress.

Infrequency Up Ahead
Sorry! I just got hard contacts, and my vision is still adjusting, so I can't spend a lot of time on the computer; plus I have a placement test and other state testing coming up soon that I need to study for. Posting will be a bit sporadic (as usual) so bear with me!
In the meantime, enjoy this picture from Jack & Jil:

Layout
Since I got a few replies to the poll, saying I should change my layout, I have responded! Now it's more minimalistic, and perhaps easier to read? I don't know about this, it seems like too many blogs have white backgrounds. Who knows. I want some feedback on this new layout please!

Random Pictures and an Update
I sort of wanted to take good pictures this week, but it's been cloudy and rainy and boring. So, I just rolled with the horrible lighting and piles of stuff I need to pack and a horrible camera to document (sort of) the stuff in my room.
The Orient watch I won from a giveaway on the La Petite Fashionista's blog, yay! Unfortunate that I have small wrist so it keeps on slipping. Boo. Isn't it shiny? I got some glare as I was taking this picture. It's my grandfather's birthday present now.
Some necklaces and a bracelet.
My Rodarte for Target cardigan. So pretty, but it doesn't show up in this picture. Would you believe that on teh second day the collection was released, this was the only cardigan left?! (Sorry for the bad picture)
My hiking boots! Very expensive. But probably worth it.
I'm going on a week-long hiking trip next week, to a place where it snows and rains. With no phone or Internet access. So no more posts until I come back!

Spam Alert
Okay, I'm wasting the precious readers' time by posting this, but this is just a little bit important. I don't like the word verification on the comment box, because it takes a little time and effort to squint and turn your head sideways to try and read the letters. But it's also amusing if you find a word you recognize, or an interesting scramble of one . I think more people will comment if you don't have them give their username for email or have to type in the verification, but I've been getting spam on my blog. A lot. Especially since I'm getting more traffic than one reader per week (I hope).
I hope this verification will stop the spammers from coming back, but if anyone doesn't like the new verification box, let me know and I will change it back.
Just comment on this post.

Blogger Regulations
Apparently, there are new regulations for product reviews since I was gone. Since I don't get paid for this, nor do I get samples to try, I will just put it up here that everything I have reviews thus far was bought by me, my family, or a friend(I don't know anybody who works in PR). If a product is a sample, or furnished by a company, I will let you know on the bottom of that post. Thank you!
